Review “The Look-Alike” by Erica Spindler

I did not enjoy this book as much as I thought that I would. I am giving this book a 2.5- 3 star review.

To sum up this book, the main character discovers a dead body, and she looks like the victim. Could the killer have been after her?

The characters were cliché in the novel. The dialogue between characters was stilted. I also hated the main character a lot. I think that her character development was flat. There was not depth to the main character at all. I also guessed the killer right off the bat. Sometimes through twists in a novel, you change your mind, but not with this book. There was a romance in the story that  did not work. Additionally, you would think there would be more investigating the murder. There was not much of that at all. It was filled with fluff like her mother’s mental illness, her odd romance, and attempt to buy a restaurant.

I thought things kept repeating over and over again. By the middle of the book, I almost did not finish it. I would say if you were going to recommend a good mystery/thriller, to keep looking for another book.
