Review of “The Last Flight” by Julie Clark

What a good book! A character-driven thriller that kept me wanting to read more.

The summary: two women desperate to leave their current lives, swap identities and plane tickets. When one plane goes down, the other needs to piece together the reason why the other girl was running as she is her identity now. But she is also running from her abusive ex husband (her reason for wanting a new life). The story has the two points of views: Claire and Eva. You are in the present with Claire but in the past with Eva.

Needless to say, I was just thrown into this world. The characters were well developed. This would make a great TV show or movie! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time! The only part that bugged me was the flat ending. The book was so suspenseful but the ending was just lacking. The author did a wonderful job though with separating the two story lines but also meshing them together.

Overall, a great novel. I enjoyed it a lot and will recommend it to others!
