At first, I was going to rate this book a 4.5 star review, but I could not think of bad things about it. So I changed my mind and rating it a 5 star review.
Summary: Abby takes a DNA test her with best friends. She finds out through the DNA test that she has a secret full sister. She meets her sister, Savvy. They plot to find out information while at summer camp. She goes to camp and discovers that Leo is also there. Leo is one of her best friends who she was romantically interested in but was rejected by him. She is still hung up on him though. Can she figure out why her parents lied about a sister? Can she start a sisterly relationship from a girl that she really does not know? Can she find love with Leo? Can she figure out what her future will hold- college or pursue photography?
I really enjoyed the characters in this novel. They were just so dang cute! The characters were very likeable and relatable. The plot had a lot going on, but it all worked. It really kept me interested throughout. I enjoyed that it was a YA rom-com. The love story was just one of the story arcs. I wish more Adult Rom-Coms fit this same mold where the romance part is there but does not control every part of the story. This book definitely had Parent Trap vibes to it as well. This book was light-hearted and a fast read. The one thing that I did not like about it was the cussing. I do not mind cussing as I cuss a lot. But in a YA novel and very out of character for these characters as well. I am not sure what added value the cuss words did for the novel.
Thank you to Edelweiss and Wednesday Books for the arc in exchange for an honest review.
