Review of “Good Girl, Bad Blood” by Holly Jackson

Overall:
 5/5 Stars

Summary of review: The 2nd novel in the Good Girl series. I love a great who-dun-it book. *You should read book #1 before this one. You may not understand a lot of the references to the 1st case in this novel*

Summary:

Pip has all since left her detective ways behind. She now has a podcast that discusses the 1st case (in the 1st novel “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder”). But then someone, Jamie,  in her town goes missing. His family begs Pip to investigate as the cops do not think it is out of his character to leave town. Pip reluctantly agrees to look into the case as long as she can make it season 2 of her podcast. Additionally, Ravi is attending the trial for Andie Bell’s murder from book 1.

My thoughts:

I have been anticipating this book, and I finally got to read it. It did not disappoint! Holly Jackson did it again! I loved the 1st book in this series, and loved this book as well. The clues and characters were easy to follow. It kept me guessing the entire time. This book was well paced and kept my interest throughout the entire book. I had to know what happened to Jaime! I loved how they mixed the 1st book and the new book as well. I really love the main character, Pip. The writing was great too. Sometimes when you have who-dun-it’s the interviews with suspects make me roll my eyes. But in this book nothing was forced.

Conclusion:

I cannot wait for book #3!

Book one in the series
