Review of “The Brilliant Life of Eudora Honeysett” by Annie Lyons

I am rating this a 3.5 to 4 star review.

If you liked “The Man Called Ove” by Fredrick Backman, then this will be a story that you will love.

The story is about a woman, Eudora, who is 85 years old and decides that her life should end on her terms. She makes the decision to die. But then she meets some people on the way that may or may not change her mind. Along the journey, the reader goes back into her past. A lot of her past experiences, help us see her in a new light.

I loved the character development the most. You start off not liking the main character. But after reading what happened to her in the past, you see why she made those decisions. It is also important to see how hard it is for her to change.

This was a quick read. But the characters will stick with me for a long time. The book was well written and the character development was so detailed. I did find the book rather predictable, but since I really enjoyed the characters, I did not mind.
