Book adaptions to TV/Movies and other book news

Peacock has given a series adaptation to One of Us Is Lying, based on the YA novel by Karen M. McManus. They ordered eight episodes.

Caster by Elsie Chapman is getting an adaption made! It will be a movie and is in production now!

Netflix will be adapting into a movie Femi Fadugba’s novel The Upper World. It is set to star and produce by Daniel Kaluuya.

Marley Dias, teen author and founder of #1000blackgirlbooks, will be hosting a new Netflix video series called Bookmarks. It is 5 minute videos that will have celebrity guests that will read children’s books by black authors! This will be starting September 1st. It will have 12 episodes on Netflix, Netflix, Jr and Youtube channel. Check it out!

Comedian and author Sarah Cooper is developing a CBS series off of her 2018 book “How to be Successful Without Hurting Men’s Feelings”
