July 2022 Book News (TV/Movie adaptions and other book news)

I have been busy all the month of June to really post these. But I am going to try to keep this one up to date all month long! So keep checking back!

“The No Show” by Beth O’Leary will be adapted.

“The School For Good and Evil” series will be adapted for Netflix.

“It Happened One Summer” by Tessa Bailey will be adapted into a movie.

“The Wish” by Nicolas Sparks will be adapted.

Jane Harper has a new book to be published. It is called “Exiles” and is due to release on 1/31/23.

“Thieves Gambit” by Kayvion Lewis will be adapted to film.

Netflix is adapted “How to Change Your Mind” into a 4-part documentary series.

Anne-Marie McLemore’s adaption of The Great Gatsby is called “Self Made Boys.”

“Three Women” by Lisa Taddeo is getting an adaption on Showtime.

“Red, White, and Royal Blue” is being adapted.

Mindy Kaling to do a Book Studio with Amazon. She will pick the books and Amazon will adapt them. More on this later!

“The Legion of X” by Si Spurrier will be adapted into a series.

“Six Four” by Hideo Yokoyama will be adapted with Kevin McKidd and Vinette Robinson to star.

Quentin Tarentino will be releasing a non-fiction book called “Cinema Speculation.”

The Power by Naomi Alderman will be adapted by Amazon.

R.L. Stein will be releasing new books this summer!

Cassandra Clare is writing a new novel. It is called “Chain of Thorns.”

Memoir: Colin Kaepernick: geared for YA and set for March 2023.

Nightbitch by Rachel Yoder will be adapted. It will star Amy Adams and Marielle Heller.

“Stone Mattress” by Margaret Atwood will be adapted. This is one of her short stories! It will star Julianne Moore and Sandra Oh.

“The Dry” by Jane Harper will get a sequel with Eric bana to star again. The book that is being adapted is “Forces of Nature.”

New book: A prequel to “They Both Die at the End.” It will be titled “The First to Die at the End.”

New Book: “One of Our Kind” by Nicola Yoon. This is her first Adult novel and will be a thriller!

Bono (U2) wrote a memoir. It is called “Surrender.” It will be out this November.

Sarah Ferguson will be writing 22 new books and will include 3 YA books. These books will be about her personal experiences growing up.

“The World of Stephanie St. Clair” by Shirley Stewart will be adpated. It is called “Queenie” and will star Taraji Henson.

Trust by Hernan Diaz will be adapted and will star Kate Winslet on HBO.

The Invisible Gil by Blue Jeans will be adapted. It will be on Disney+.

Red, White, and Royal Blue will be adapted and to star Nicholas Galitzine and Taylor Zakhar Perez. This will be on Amazon.

Memoir: Henry Winkler for 2024 (Happy Days)

Running Out of Time a YA series.It will be for Peacock.

A Man in Full by Tom Wolfe is being adapted by Netflix. It will star Diane Lane and Jeff Daniels. It is a 6 episode series.

Both/And a memoir by Huma Abedin. It will be a TV series adaption. Freida Pinto will star.

Teh Cabin At the End of the World by Paul Tremblay is being adapted. It will be directed by M. Night Shyamalan and be called Knock At the Cabin. It will star Dave Bautista, Rupert Grint, and Jonathan Groff.
