Summary:
After a fly pandemic and the fall of civilization, the story follows a group of actors who travel to preform. We follow five people with eh travelling group of actors.
My thoughts:
I have to admit, the plot was very unique. I picked up this book twice before this. I just could not get into it. It is a slow-burn. I think the only thing keeping me reading on was the unique plot and the tv adaption on HBO. I love dystopian novels. But this had no real action in it.
The writing was amazing. I can see why this book won awards. If you are reading it for being well-written and not for entertainment value, then this is the book for you. It really made you think too.
The story is told in different time periods: before and the present. It was interesting to see their lives in the past and how their world has changed in the present.
I did not feel any connection at all with any of the characters. I am not sure why. They were detailed enough. I really did not care what happened to the characters at all. They just seemed so dull to me.
