I am rating this book a 4 star review.
Five women who on a corporate hiking adventure and only 4 come out of the woods. The woman that is missing was working with Det. Falk to exposed the corporation on some illegal activities that would have everyone lose their jobs. Needless to say, everyone had a motive to kill Alice. Is Alice missing, killed, or alive?
I am rating it a 4 star review, since I guessed the ending. But overall, the journey to get there was great. I love Harper’s writing. I love feeling like I am piecing it all together as I go! I really enjoyed the characters, the plot, and just about everything about this book! I really loved the setting and atmosphere of this novel. I think that is why I love her books so much. The atmosphere, setting, and character development. You not only get what is happening with each of the characters but also learn a lot about the detective as well.
I just discovered this author but going to read all of her books here soon. I got The Dry and The Lost Man pending at the library right now!
